PEPPERL+FUCHS PROCESS AUTOMATION

Integration of Walsall products expands portfolio

One of the main objectives of the systems and solutions activities of Pepperl+Fuchs is to respond quickly to customers’ requirements for automation solutions in hazardous areas. The acquisition of Walsall Ltd. has moved Pepperl+Fuchs one step closer to achieving this goal.

WirelessHART™: From Technology to Products

NAMUR and the HART Communication Foundation have conducted a field test at the BASF plant in Ludwigshafen, Germany, which has been actively supported by Pepperl+Fuchs. WirelessHART was proven to be a sustainable technology that can be used in mobile and flexible applications.

DART Is Becoming Reality

DART is on its best way to becoming an accepted standard technology in the process industry. Dynamic Arc Recognition and Termination (DART) is a much easier approach to certify the intrinsic safety of a circuit. It provides considerable more power to drive field devices within explosion hazardous areas and allows longer cable distances. It uses intelligent detection circuits to monitor the entire electric circuit. As soon as the formation of a dangerous spark is detected, the power supply is shut off within microseconds to prevent the spark from becoming incentive. This greatly increases installation options and opens a completely new range of applications.

Visunet DM, Industrial Monitors Engineered for Extreme Environments

Pepperl+Fuchs introduces VisuNet DM, specifically designed monitors to deliver reliable operation and long life in harsh application environments. Fully configurable to suit specific application requirements they are true industrialized monitors, delivering the highest MTBF in the industry at over 550,000 hours. Vusunet DM monitors carry both the UL and CE mark, and are available for general purpose or Class I/Div 2 environments. Touch screen and transflective options are available.

High-Density Power Hub delivers 500 mA per fieldbus segment

Low heat dissipation and a small footprint is a must for installation inside the control room cabinet. With its new version of the High-Density Power Hub, Pepperl+Fuchs have increased available power supply current from 360 mA to 500 mA while maintaining space requirements. This highly compact power supply is part of the FieldConnex product range and is able to deliver 500 mA for up to 4 fieldbus segments.
