Weidmüller's "ACT20M"
New product series packaged in a 6-mm module width for converting and isolating analogue signals. High levels of functionality with minimum space requirements. ACT20M product series with Ex Zone 2 approval.
Weidmüller is presenting the fourth generation of analogue converters packaged in a 6-mm module width in the form of its new product series "ACT20M". Based in Detmold, Germany, Weidmüller has succeeded in integrating a wide variety of functions in a 6 mm slimline module, namely its new 8-pole CH20 housing. These functions are otherwise only available on the market packaged in wider format housings. Now for the first time signal splitter and sensor supply functionality have been implemented in a 6 mm module width. This additional level of miniaturisation provides more space in the electrical cabinet and, as a consequence, saves costs. The "ACT20M" product series combines the highest levels of functionality in a compact design that includes 1- and 2-channel passive isolators, universal temperature transducers and DC isolating amplifiers as well as 2-way signal splitters. Eight connections facilitate integrating additional functionality such as signal splitting together with sensor supply. Users are easily able to configure the modules via the integrated DIP switches or FDT/DTM software. The products are calibrated at the factory for all possible measurement ranges to ensure the device is 'ready to go' on delivery. Power is supplied to the "ACT20M" modules either via direct wiring or the Weidmüller mounting rail bus. To replace expensive individual wiring the mounting rail bus - comprising five conductor tracks - is simply integrated in the TS 35 top-hat rail (standard heights: 7.5 and 15 mm to DIN EN 60715).
High measurement accuracy, wide operating temperature range and international approvals to c-UL-us, FM Div. 2, ATEX Zone 2, GL and DNV ensure the modules are suitable for use in a wide variety of applications anywhere in the world.
